latex, concrete, metal, contact mic, steel wire, loudspeakers, audio cables, amp and electronic components.
Presented at zero(yeah), De Thomas Kerk, Amsterdam, NL
Hand-made latex strings suspended through the church divide it into a shifting geometry of fractures, connections and thresholds. Stretched to different tensions, each line carries its own weight, direction and texture, and redraws the edges of the space as visitors move around and between them. Wired with contact microphones, the lines are not only sculptural: they hold the space in a state of latent sound.
